SEO Jobs: Work at SEOgadget is one of our latest posts from: SEOgadget.co.uk.
We’re growing, and we’re looking for a smart, creative and super awesome intern to join the SEOgadget family. If that’s you, read on!

We’re hiring.
It seems like only yesterday we were hiring our last SEO. In fact, that one started 6 weeks ago. This time last year, SEOgadget was a team of 1 – our first hire, Dan joined in early August 2010. SEOgadget is growing fast because of great SEO and CRO folk who care about the quality of their work and the satisfaction of our clients. What we’ve achieved in a year is entirely down to the creativity, hard work and perseverance of a great team, who also happen to have a penchant for Nando’s.
What’s the job?
We’re looking for an organised, hard working team member to support the activities of our lead SEO’s. By working on the coalface of many of our ongoing SEO activities, you’ll learn a lot about the most important aspects of SEO. You’ll assist with the day to day management of our content production (we have a team of contract copywriters screaming out for more work, and an SEO team screaming out for more content), create epic link bait campaigns, get content placed with our publishing partners using our outreach tools, find new blog partners, carry out clever research for interesting infographics and do experiments in social. You’ll get the opportunity to learn a ton of new skills and use your noggin to solve interesting problems.
You’ll help out with random tasks for me (Richard), too – finance, putting slide decks together and managing the bits of our office that need managing. It’s a varied role and no day is often completely the same.
You’ll be working within a team of people amongst the most respected SEO folk in the UK – hang around them long enough and you’ll learn a boat load.
Special moves
What’s your special move? Do you have a black belt in Karate? Can you eat a Nando’s burger in less than 3 minutes? Could you make the kessel run in less than 12 parsecs? Do you have code, design, illustration, Excel, HTML, writing or excellent bow hunting skills? Could you come up with an awesome list of classic Nintendo games in a few minutes? Cool!
How to apply?
Just fill out the form below. Great applications stand out, and they’re the ones that will get chosen for interview. If we demand great work, we’d certainly demand an awesome application. Good luck!

SEOgadget Gets a HTML5 Upgrade
The past few weeks have been pretty awesome. Regular visitors to the site may have noticed a reduced rate of posting on the site, largely owing to summer holidays, the construction of a new anchor text tool, recruiting our first staff and a HTML5 project.

I’ve written about HTML5 and SEO before, but it’s nice to have your own examples, so I’m delighted to show off the first version of SEOgadget in HTML5 – take a look at the source code!
I think (as a learning / development piece) there’s still some way to go with this site, and there are a few remaining items left for us to resolve – but as a learning exercise it’s been extremely interesting to make this happen. Under the bonnet you might see some of the following tags:
<header>(Specifies a header for a section or page)<article>(Specifies an article)<aside>(Specifies content aside from the page content)<footer>(Specifies a footer for a section or page)
I’d just like to thank ThinkDave who custom built the SEOgadget WordPress theme and is a smart, patient guy!

SEOgadget is Moving Home [Non SEO News]
I’m really excited to (finally) announce that SEOgadget has a new home!
Sharing with a creative / design agency, the building is a perfect space to grow, with a lovely warm atmosphere in a great area of London. Outside, there’s a small private courtyard complete with a BBQ.

So, from Tuesday, SEOgadget HQ will be located at 66 Leonard Street, Shoreditch, London, EC24 4LW.
If you see yourself working here, don’t forget that SEOgadget is hiring – the job specification is quite detailed, but don’t be put off if you feel you have the right skills in one area but would like to develop in another. The priority skill is definitely in creative link building, particularly in competitive industries such as travel, automotive, affiliate (voucher / discount codes), B2B publishing and events.
