Overall Purpose of Job
Drive natural search traffic to carphonewarehouse.com, community and new mobile site. Generate efficient sales and margin through natural search traffic Be an SEO evangelist – support key internal stakeholders by providing advice and insight on all things SEO Coach the wider team on best SEO practices Integrate with the wider team and agencies to fulfil the SEO strategy

Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, scope and deliver the SEO strategy for the main .com site, mobile site, community and blogging platforms To have an advanced level of knowledge and understand how search engines and websites work Capability to work hands-on to solve problems, with ability to generate ideas and solutions Manage and work with the SEO agency to deliver profitable SEO solutions Work closely with the web developers to ensure our website is optimised from a technical perspective Liaise with other team members to ensure synergy with our marketing campaigns, using news stories proactively to ensure online coverage. Integrate and develop SEO in conjunction with multiple channels e.g. How natural and paid search can work together to maximise sales and margin Create and pull content from all areas of the business and market to actively publish on relevant online forums (internal/external), new sites and directories Develop a network of bloggers and writers who can build our presence across key websites and our community site Produce natural search activity to support all key trading activities… PayM, PayG, tablets, B2B, smartphones, etc Work alongside our group website brands on tactical opportunities and integrate CPW natural search with these brands

Produce SEO analysis including, performance metrics, keyword research, competitive market audits, website audits, etc Comprehensively research and analyse competitor sites and search results pages Production of technical change requests for a variety of site changes, including: Internal link optimisation SEO technical analysis and evaluation Website architecture problems HTML and CMS optimisation Understand issues surrounding user experience, accessibility and information architecture Keep up to date with latest SEO initiatives in the marketplace Proactively make use of these new SEO opportunities and communicate the business benefits effectively Help ensure SEO excellence within the team People Management:
Requirement to influence a range of stakeholders across the business (up to Executive committee level) Agency management – experience in owning agency relationships and deliver success through third parties Strong integration, coaching and people skills Note: the role currently has no line management responsibilities.

Financial Management:

Overall Purpose of Job
Plan and manage all online and digital acquisition activity for the Connected World (and CPW) – including a large and sophisticated PPC programme, SEO and natural traffic generation, affiliate partners (across reward, loyalty and long-tail sites), display & Facebook DR activity and mobile. If the remit includes CPW the successful candidate will control one of the largest online marketing budgets in the category
Manage and build the strategic partnerships with our key suppliers – across all our referral channels and lead the on-going optimisation of the marketing budget.
Be an online evangelist – providing support to key internal stakeholders by providing advice and insight on the transformative role of digital and online.

Responsible for all elements of website design developed in line with brand guidelines including landing pages, campaigns and banners.

Requirements

  • Drive the design strategy of cpw.com, proactively seeking out new ideas and concepts
  • Champion best practice in online design, with web usability at the heart of this
  • Manage online design guidelines in conjunction with the Brand Team
  • Be the central source for the web team for all Marketing assests (advertising campaigns, instore PoS graphics etc)
  • Design & build all promotional elements include banners, landing pages & home pages
  • Ensure the website adheres to relevant guidelines
  • Check all design elements for spelling, grammar and accuracy
  • In conjunction with the Brand Team develop the online design guidelines

Strong project management skills are required for this role, which will be utilised to successfully develop and deliver change management benefits on the European Multi-channel programme.  Responsibility will be given for embedding change management principles across the European community in order to drive improvement in their commercial success.

  • Improve business processes and ways of working to drive either greater business efficiency internally and/or above the line commercial results
  • Manage and deliver the training elements of the programme
  • Ensure that a balanced scorecard of business benefits, together with KPIs and measures, are identified and tools are in place to realise and track benefits
